How to Reduce Wear and Tear in Sulfur Milling Equipment

Optimize Raw Material Properties

Remove hard impurities, stones and metal debris from sulfur raw materials in advance; control raw material humidity to avoid agglomeration that causes uneven impact wear. Keep feeding particle size uniform to reduce irregular hitting on grinding parts.

Adopt Wear-Resistant Matching Parts

Use high-hardness alloy, ceramic or anti-abrasive liner plates, grinding rollers, hammers and classifier blades. Replace common carbon steel vulnerable parts with wear-resistant materials specially adapted to sulfur medium.

Adjust Scientific Operating Parameters

Avoid long-term over-speed and overload operation; set reasonable rotating speed, feeding rate and air volume. Maintain stable material layer thickness inside the mill to reduce dry friction and direct rigid collision.

Strengthen Sealing and Anti-Corrosion Treatment

Upgrade all contact parts with anti-sulfur corrosion treatment; use corrosion-resistant sealing components to prevent sulfur dust and acidic substances from eroding metal structures, which indirectly slows down mechanical wear.

Standardize Lubrication Management

Apply high-temperature and corrosion-resistant special lubricating grease for sulfur milling equipment. Implement regular quantitative lubrication for bearings, transmission shafts and rotating joints to lower friction loss.

Stabilize Internal Working Environment

Keep good cooling effect to avoid high-temperature softening and accelerated abrasion of metal parts. Maintain reasonable inert gas atmosphere, reduce sulfur dust adhesion and caking on equipment inner walls.

Optimize Material Circulation Mode

Optimize internal airflow and material circulation route, reduce repeated excessive grinding and long-time material scouring on equipment inner walls. Avoid local material accumulation causing concentrated wear.

Carry Out Regular Inspection & Timely Maintenance

Regularly check abrasion degree of vulnerable parts, trim or replace worn components in time. Calibrate equipment running balance to eliminate eccentric vibration wear caused by unbalanced operation.

Control Static and Dust Concentration

Perfect overall grounding and static elimination measures, reduce static adhesion of fine sulfur powder. Keep dust collecting system unobstructed to avoid high-concentration dust scouring wearing pipeline and shell.
